This collaboration combines Eurosyn’s expertise in distributing specialty chemicals with TripleW’s forward-thinking vision, a company that transforms food waste into high-quality products, meeting the demands of a market increasingly focused on sustainability.
TripleW stands out for its production of sustainable lactic acid through the fermentation of food waste, creating a world where waste becomes a valuable resource. Based in Belgium, TripleW is revolutionizing the way we think about waste management.
Today, 30% of the food produced globally becomes waste, with an estimated global disposal cost of 2.6 trillion dollars. Traditionally, methods such as incineration, methanization, and landfilling are not only inefficient but can be also harmful to the environment. On the other hand, producing lactic acid from food crops is not sustainable; considering the cost of glucose or sugar accounting for over 50% of production costs and sugar prices constantly fluctuating, the challenge lies in finding more sustainable alternatives.
Eurosyn, a cornerstone in the distribution of specialty chemicals in Italy since 1983, brings to this partnership its well-established expertise and ability to offer not only high-quality products but also value-added services such as technical and logistical support, thanks to its in-house laboratory and Capralba facility.
Through this synergy, Eurosyn will enhance its portfolio with TripleW’s three grades of lactic acid:
Circulac LA80: a technical grade with an 80% concentration, ideal for industrial applications.
Circulac HS88: a heat-stable grade with an 88% concentration, perfect for processes requiring thermal resistance.
Circulac LC90: an ultra-pure grade at 90%, designed for high-purity applications.
